Originally from South Carolina, Chris joined the Marine Corps and served eight years on active duty, deploying to Afghanistan and a number of other countries, before leaving to pursue a graduate degree at NYU in Global Affairs. During his time in grad school, he discovered his love of acting through friends and fellow veterans working in the arts. He has studied with Anthony Abeson and Bob Krakower. Chris 'Dorje' Walker is known for Monkeys (2011).- Chris Walker is an actor, writer, and photographer. He was born June 8, 1960 in Radford, Virginia. He is the son of Annie Mae (Williams) and Oliver Walker, Jr. In 1982 he graduated from Oberlin College with a B.A. degree in English. He is best known for his film and television credits such as: "C.A.T. Squad: Python Wolf" (1988), directed by William Friedkin, "Born On the Fourth of July" (1989), directed by Oliver Stone, "Blue Steel" (1990), directed by Kathryn Bigelow, "The Last Best Year" (1990), directed by John Erman, and an episode of "New York Undercover" (1997) entitled "Descell", directed by Frederick Keller. He had a recurring role on the television soap opera, "As the World Turns", first as the character, "Circus Turner" (1990), and then later as "Lamar Griffin" (1995). He has appeared Off Broadway in Leslie Lee's "Black Eagles", at the Manhattan Theatre Club, and in various regional theatre companies such as: Yale Repertory Theatre, Portland Stage Company, Pioneer Theatre Company, and the Philadelphia Theatre Company. He is now at work on a genealogical project tracing his family's roots back 400 years ago to when they first arrived in America in 1619 as two of the "20 And Odd Negroes" to land in Jamestown, Virginia off an English pirate ship called either the "White Lion", or the "Treasurer". He is based in New York City and Philadelphia.

Christopher Angel Walker Gjevnøe is a songwriter, producer, artist, author, and film director. He is best known as frontman for the band Substereo. Chris was born in Vienna, Austria. His Mother Patricia Barreda is a Mexican/American concert pianist (niece of artist Diego Rivera), and his father Kurt Gjevnøe was a Danish sociologist and author known by the pen name 'Uro Conrado'. Chris grew up in Vienna until the age of 10, when he moved to Topsfield, Massachusetts (USA). At the age of 13 he moved to Queretaro, Mexico with his father, and then back to the US to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. At the age of 19 he joined the Danish Army where he reached the rank of Captain. He was deployed with The British 7th Armoured Brigade to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and then later to Ethiopia as a United Nations Observer.
in 2013 Chris worked on Substereo's debut album 'Fuel for The Revolution' with American multi-platinum award winning record producer Dito Godwin (No Doubt, Mötley Crüe). After the release of the album Chris directed and produced the music video for Substereo's singles 'Cry Freedom', and 'Rollin' Daisies'. In 2016 he wrote, recorded and produced the band's second album 'Nowhereland', The album was based on a novelette by the same name, which he also authored and illustrated.
In addition to the novelette illustrations, Chris also painted the art work for all Substereo albums to date (oil/acrylic/water), and has worked on a number of commissioned works. In 2017, Chris was academically trained in music production by Grammy award winning producer Pete Smith (The Police, Van Morrison, Joe Cocker).
